This relaxed walking tour gives students a great first look at Cork City and the areas they’ll be spending time in during the summer school. Starting at the Western Gateway Building, the group will visit key spots on campus before heading into the city. Along the way, you’ll see the canteen, cross the historic UCC bridge, and pass through the university’s iconic main gates.
From there, the walk continues into the heart of Cork, stopping by important landmarks such as the Courthouse, the famous English Market, and the bustling streets of Oliver Plunkett Street and Saint Patrick’s Street. If time allows, the tour may also include a quick stop at the CES Main Building and the Crawford Art Gallery. The route then returns toward the Mardyke Sports Arena, with free time available depending on the day.
